Alice Loitering Among the Shrooms @ Studio Sidhe

Hi everyone!

As I'm sure most of you know, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland has been released and everyone is back to talking about this classic tale :D

A while a go a shout out was given for creators who wanted to be a part of an event in SL to celebrate the release of the film. I jumped on it as an excellent opportunity to do two things I've wanted to do for a long time... make my own 'shroom poses and use my clock face texture that I made ages ago for a pic on my flickr stream for something in SL! So hooray! both missions accomplished with this pose prop! :D

Sadly the event is for all intents and purposes canceled, as I was informed today, so while that is sad thing, at least the other designers and myself still have our creations to release :D

So lets talk about the shrooms! *grins* They can be either a pose prop or they can be used as a feature for your garden. With 6 fun poses and the prop itself being of a quality and style I'm sure you've come to recognise as being distinctly Studio Sidhe. You're bound to have heaps of fun with this! :D

Community Spirit Blogger Challenge: Zai Lynch

Cajsa IM'd me the other night and asked me if I was interested in doing this blogger challenge...YUP! I love any opportunity to celebrate our unsung heroes!

Zai Lynch is a mate of mine from quite a ways back, she immediately sprung to mind for this. You see Zai is not one of the drama set, she's not in a fashion clique and you may never have heard of her... but Zai is amazing. When I first met her she was heavily involved in all sorts of volunteer services to help other residents, one of these was the Mentoring program.

Zai later became active as a German speaking Linguist and has done a lot to break down the language barriers in SL.

You're probably reading this and thinking that she must be someone that doesn't have a lot going on in RL, and you'd be wrong, she has a very full RL... but the truly amazing thing about Zai is that she *makes* time to help others. For as long as I have known Zai this has been true.

I don't catch up with Zai anywhere near as often as I should, I really have no excuse, I just suck basically. But she is often in my thoughts, and I check her wiki from time to time to see what latest craziness she's been up to... oh! that's the other thing about Zai, besides being a true altruist, she also is hilarious, she has a gadget for every occasion and it's ALWAYS fun, and she just has a wacky kind spirit that makes me smile.

I raise my glass to the Zai's of SL, because without people like her, SL would not be a place that I would want to stay or spend time in.

Pirouette Photographic Contest!

Hi Everyone,

If you haven't already heard, Studio Sidhe together with Evie's Closet is holding another photographic Contest!!! :D

For full information touch the sign in store at either Evie's Closet or Studio Sidhe. Entries close on the 4am SLT on the 31st of January, 2010.

There are of course two categories for this contest; Unedited & Unedited. We do this so that everyone can join in the fun and we acknowledge that photography in its own right is an art form. So whether you are a dead keen Photoshop/Gimp enthusiast or mad shutter bug, this is the contest for you! :D

Evie and I can't wait to see what you do with our creations... but we know whatever it is, it will be fun :)

Big things this week @ Studio Sidhe :D

Hi Everyone!

I have a couple of things to tell you about today!

First up! Shoes and Accessories Hunt!!! :D This is set to be BIG! I had a look through the participant list and I was all wow, so going to be doing this myself! LOL and yes you may even be treated to another one of my oh so stylish fashionista hunt reviews!LOL (watch this space!)

A bit about my offering for the hunt... this is officially my very first handbag, and yes, BOMBSHELL that it's a hippie bag! *picks you up off the floor* and is unisex. It has a resize script, so you can get it to fit you :D It's also called Sunbury... fun fact: You know that little concert America had outside Woodstock in NY state in 1969? Yeah well Australia (land from whence I come), had it's very own music festival, but annually, 'cause we just have way too many great bands to fit into one weekend! *ducks and runs* (I just cant help but stir heehee). Okay, it was an annual event that lasted three years, but GO US!!!

In other news!



OMG! seriously, there are no words for just how EPIC a saga this special edition texture change music box was to bring into reality. I sooo wanted to have this ready and out with the single texture boxes, but it looked nearly to be an impossible task which I had all but given up on until a lovely man by the name of Ted Cornell came along and offered his help.

Thanks to Ted this special edition of the music box is texture change, so you can choose between all 7 designs, and still has the animated box feature which rocks and has 9 beautiful ballerina poses for you to choose from a menu :D It's a very detailed pose prop and I am quietly confident that there is nothing like this on the grid, because no one else would be as crazy as me to even attempt this! LOL

But because this box looked likely to never happen the way I had envisioned, but is miraculously here... I'm offering it for the special price of $500L until the 14th of February (after that you will have to basically give me your first born in order to get one) so I do recommend that you get in and get yours before V-day ;)

A Touch of Magic to Start 2010 @ Studio Sidhe

Christmas @ Studio Sidhe

Hi everyone,

Yup, not long now till Christmas... actually started my RL pressie shopping today, which is so not like me to be so organised! Go me!

I've had a very busy week in SL, lots and lots and lots of fun, and what do I find the most enjoyable pastime in sl to be? Why creating of course! My newest releases have been added to the Lucky Dip which is still just 40L a go.

Revolution anyone?

Revolution! A time of change, often scary, but! The energy of revolution, the passionate dialogue, the shear power of getting a whole body of people together to speak with one voice, everyone bringing their experience, expertise, ideas and dreams to the table... everyone acting for a common goal, with hope for the future... amazing stuff!

I am in my own small way, a part of such a revolution, to sit in and participate in discussions with people equally as passionate on this subject as I am, is heady stuff, you just can't help but feel energised... a feeling of being in the right place at the right time... WOW. A true high, and one that I hope I never come down from LOL and THIS is what inspired this pose set, everything I want to say, but said in pixel body language heehee



The second release is something I started well over a month ago, piece to work in with all the Christmas stuff going on.

And lastly...
